LOUISE Redknapp will open her 2020 tour in Southampton.

Tickets for the string of dates next March will go on sale on Friday.

Taking in 11 venues across the UK, the Heavy Love tour will be Louise's first full UK tour since her sell out Intimate and Live mini tour at the start of last year and her 2017 comeback show at Under The Bridge in London.

It will support her brand new album Heavy Love, which will be released via ADA / Warner in October.

The tour will see Louise performing songs from the new album plus a selection of her greatest hits.

The former wife of football pundit Jamie, she told the Daily Echo: “Making this new album has been a real emotional and honest process for me. I love performing live and touring and I can’t wait to take the new album on tour and perform all these new songs for everyone.”

Louise rose to fame as one quarter of pop super group Eternal, the first girl band ever to sell over 1 million copies of an album with their 1993 debut Always & Forever.

She has had 18 consecutive top solo 20 singles, six with Eternal and 12 solo. Her debut solo album Naked sold over 1 million copies and overall she has sold over 15 million records worldwide and 5 million records in the UK. Her last single Pandora’s Kiss was Top 5 hit in 2003.

Louise has released three studio albums to date including the Platinum selling Naked (1996), Woman In Me (1997) and Elbow Beach (2000). In 2001 she released a greatest hits collection Changing Faces - The Best Of Louise.

Recorded in Sweden, London and LA, Heavy Love is Louise's first album in 18 years. She has worked on the album with music luminaries including Clean Bandit, Jojo, RAYE, Eg White, Sinead Harnett and Karen Poole.

The first track from the album Stretch has already become a fan favourite. The video shot straight to Number 1 on the iTunes video chart.

Louise is at Southampton's 1865 on Thursday March 12 2020.
