MOST events have been forced to cancel amidst the coronavirus crisis – but one charity draw is still taking place next week.

Winchester Rotary Club's grand draw on April 18 will now be streamed live. All proceeds will go to Winchester Youth Counselling.

Branch president Mike Billington said: "It is important for us to continue with whatever fundraising events that it is still possible to hold because, when we come out of this lock down, the services of this valued and much used charity, will be needed even more by the young people of Winchester.

"Our moods and thoughts are all affected by the present situation but these young people, who already had difficulties, will find their needs even greater”.

Tickets can be purchased by emailing crowded.house@virgin.net with details of your name and number of tickets required, which are £2 each or £10 for five.

They can be sent through the post and monies transferred to Winchester Rotary’s Trust Fund Account, details of which will be given.

The draw will be shown using the live streaming platform Zoom.
