Experience a fantastic live show packed full of cool experiments and tips and tricks for DIY scientific exploration.

Get hands on with fun activities and challenges in the Invention Studio and look out for the centre's team of Inspirers who will be roaming the exhibition floor with some exciting interactive demonstrations.

2 In Alresford...

DID you miss the chance to see the Flying Scotsman last month?

Well, don't panic, because it's coming back to the Watercress Line this weekend.

Following its first ever visit to the line in February, tickets to ride on the Flying Scotsman are now sold out – but that doesn't mean you should miss seeing it blitz through the Hampshire countryside.

Running Day Rover Tickets are still available.

Tickets allow unlimited travel on all trains except Flying Scotsman.

You can hop on and off the trains throughout the day and capture the glorious Flying Scotsman as she steams up and down the line from Alresford to Alton.

3 In Portsmouth...

SPEND your Sunday morning exercising your mind, body and soul in an incredibly unique environment.

The Mary Rose's first ever Yoga in the Museum session will take place, with Amanda Gartrell, pro instructor, for this enlightening experience.

Your session will begin at 9.15am, taking place whilst the museum is closed to everyday guests.

The class will be taught at beginner to intermediate level and will be taught right next to the world's only surviving Tudor Warship.

Throughout the workshop mood lighting will highlight the ship, and gentle music will help ease you into a peaceful, calming and relaxed vibe.

4 In Romsey...

QUILLING is an art form that involves the use of paper strips that are rolled, shaped and glued together to create a decorative design.

Head over to Sir Harold Hillier Gardens on Saturday from 10am and you'll be shown how to create coils of paper, manipulate these into different shapes and scrolls which are arranged to create a picture or decoration.

Booking is essential for this specialist workshop.

5 In Basingstoke...

A MULTI-sensory first theatre experience for babies aged 6-18 months is coming to Basingstoke on Saturday.

Using interactive lighting, puppetry, movement and sound, this unique show, Kaleidoscope, will run a few times throughout the day at Proteus Creation Space, Council Road.

Each will last for 25 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of stay and play.

Tickets are £10 and admit one baby and one accompanying adult.

6 In Andover...

JOIN the Hawk Conservancy Trust for a magical evening when you can step into the magical world of owls.

Watch these mystical birds twist and turn through the night sky and duck as they skim silently over the top of your head.

During Saturday evening, you will also be able to meet some of the trust's resident owls on a short tour of the grounds.

These evenings are very popular, so book as soon as possible.

Come along wrapped up warm, with a torch, and step out in the dark with the owls.

8 In Southampton...

SUPERPOD 2020 is a two-day festival of podcasting in Southampton.

Over a dozen comedy and sporting podcasts from all over the UK are descending on The Social in Lower Bannister Street this weekend, putting on live versions of their shows in order to raise money for Sport Relief.

The event will run from approximately 1pm until 11pm each day, with free entry until 7pm and a ticket only headline session from 7pm onwards.

THE Improvised Play Company Present a brand new show, Unpredictive Text at Forest Forge Theatre this Saturday.

A deliciously different flavour of improvisation, an evening of two halves – the audience help the actors create a multitude of different relationships and characters, out of which they vote for their favourite to put into a play.

Each play is completely improvised, so each play is completely unique.
