THESE pictures were taken 20 years ago in the wake of another major crisis.
Thousands of visitors flocked to the Hampshire County Show proving there was life after the foot-and-mouth outbreak.
It was estimated that up to 13,000 people passed through the gates of Broadlands, Romsey, over the weekend in May 2001, despite cloven-hoofed animals being barred from the programme due to disease restrictions.
Even without goats, pigs and cattle the two-day show crammed in 60 craftsmen, 100 traders and scores of rides, performers and attractions.
