Soaring 28 metres and with a span of 800 metres, the finished bridge cost £12.2m to build.
The road carries more than seven million vehicles a year.

It was 45 years ago when Southampton FC began their memorable journey to glory in the 1976 FA Cup.
It began against Aston Villa and of course, ended with a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Wembley.
East Street centre failed to capture the hearts of Southampton people and failed to attract businesses.
It was once part of a bold vision to revolutionise the city centre and changed the face of East Street – one of the city's oldest roads.
Using a modern design and plenty of concrete, it was Southampton’s first shopping centre.
