SCORES of swimmers usually brave icy conditions when they take a New Year's Day dip in the Solent.
Billed as the perfect hangover cure, the event will not be taking place this year due to the pandemic.
The fancy dress event, now in its 39th year, raises cash for Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (GAFIRS) and other local, national and international charities.
But for now we have these pictures from the swim in 2005.
