HUNDREDS of buyers, sellers and holidaymakers swarmed to the picturesque Beaulieu Road sale yard on August 6, 1990.
It was the start of the autumn run of five monthly pony sales.
The yard was alive with colour, bidding and scores of healthy animals.
The sales still go on to this very day and the yard has seen many improvements since the days captured in these images.
