Lordswood 1968
This fascinating aerial view of Lordswood was pictured from an aeroplane in 1968.
The accompanying caption reads: “These dwellings, on the former pre-fab site at Lordswood, are well advanced. They should be completed about mid-summer.
"Cost of 173 two-storey dwellings, mostly in blocks of fives and sevens is £488,361.
"In addition there are 50 old peoples’ dwellings on the site already built and occupied at a cost of £88,133.”
