CHILDREN at a Southampton School spent the week clowning around – with the blessing of the teachers.
All 250 pupils at Townhill Infant School in Townhill Park took part in circus workshops on January 19, 2000.
Professional clown Dr Colin was on hand to teach the youngsters skills such as plate-spinning, juggling and mime
Parents of around 30 children were invited to see their new-found skills in action at a show.
Their thoughts on the experience were put in a book and shared with Townhill Infants’ international partner schools in Sweden and Holland.
