JOIN us on another nostalgic trip back through the decades - this time to October 1989.
Echo photographers snapped famous faces numerous times that month which included film director Ken Russell at Southampton Southampton Park Hotel and 1980s television star Paul Nicholas.
Cantell School featured in the Daily Echo a couple of times as they got a taste of various potential careers. One group went to Southampton Technical College to learn to be chefs while another set up a photographic business.

October 11
The World Wrestling Federation held its first UK event at the London Arena.
October 12
English businessman Michael Knighton dropped his £20 million bid to purchase Manchester United. However, he took a seat on the club's board.
October 19
The Guildford Four were released from prison after the High Court quashed their convictions for terrorist activities. They had been wrongly imprisoned in 1975 following the bombing of two pubs in Guildford.
