THE exercise was to show children the difference between primitive make-up and their 20th century equivalents.
Sian Jones, Mike Cassin and Joanne Labon hosted the fun event on April 10, 1979, at the Wool House Museum.
One particular example was of Hawaiian make-up, the kind that was likely worn by priests who sacrificed Captain Cook more than 240 years ago.
