AS RED Nose Day took place yesterday, the Daily Echo takes a look back at the event 30 years ago.
The dank weather and grey skies did little to dampen the spirits of Hampshire’s red nose brigade on March 10, 1989.
Exploits included Winchester planning manager Terry Doyle having his beard shaved.
Countless clubs and organisations took part by raising money in various ways – many of which can be seen in these images.
