IT was a happy day for Romsey as they stretched their lead in Hampshire Division 2 with a 37-3 home success against Hampshire Constabulary.
Romsey dominated on November 21, 1998, with a constant supply of possession from scrums and line-out.
Their success produced tries for Darren Sharpe, Mark Charrett, Pete Ellis and Ian Messenger, to which Charrett added two conversions and two penalties. Nick Creal chipped in with a conversion.
