BLACKFIELD & Langley head to Paulton Rovers in the Evo-Stik Division One South on Saturday with another win under their belts.
The high-flying Watersiders came through Wednesday’s Hampshire FA Senior Cup derby 2-1 at two-leagues-lower Fawley AFC - but it was far from clear cut.
Having taken the lead through Sam Poole, Blackfield were pegged back by Zac Willis for the Sydenhams One underdogs.
A penalty shootout looked on the cards until Poole settled the issue in the 90th minute with his second goal of the night.
Glenn Howes’ Blackfield, fresh up from the Sydenhams Premier, have taken 13 points from their opening six games as a Southern League club.
New in for the Watersiders is ex-Brockenhurst and Alresford frontman Mitch Speechley-Price who made his debut in last Saturday's excellent 2-0 win over Cirencester.
“Mitch has always done well against us," said co-assistant boss Chris Farrell. "We're still in the market for one or two more signings."
