FORMER Saints U18 captain Tom Leggett has joined Gosport Borough in time for the new Evo-Stik Premier South season.
The 22-year-old Welshman spent three years at Aston Villa after leaving Saints in 2014 and has also played for Borough’s league rivals Basingstoke Town.
Gosport manager Craig McAllister said: “Delighted Tom has decided to sign for the club. It took a little while to get the deal done, but he is another young player that has bought into what me and Matt (Tubbs, assistant) wanted to do.
“He’s another talented player with a great future ahead of him. He works really hard for the team and brings some more quality to this team.”
Also new in for Gosport is young centre-back Lewis Harvey, one of four apprentices in Andy Hessenthaler’s Eastleigh squad who has gone out to gain match time and experience.
Gosport kick off the new season at home to Kings Langley this afternoon.
