SALISBURY visit Winchester City in a pre-season friendly tomorrow (Tuesday) with two more new signings in tow.

Experienced wide player/striker Dan Fitchett has made a welcome return to the Whites from Wealdstone, while central defender Matt Partridge has signed from Hungerford Town.

Partridge featured last Friday as Salisbury defeated Lymington Town 6-0 in front of a 246 crowd at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium.

George Barker set them on their way with a first-half brace, followed by second-half efforts from Jack Stanley, Zack Kotwica, Flavio Tavares and Charlie Cooper.

Winchester also had their shooting boots on as they disposed of Conference South side Hungerford Town 6-0 on Saturday through Oli Bailey (2), Tyrell Mitford, Rob Carr (2) and Lamar Koroma.

Describing it as a “very good day’s work against Step 2 opposition”, City boss Craig Davis smiled: “Delighted with that. It was a great benchmark for the lads and something to keep building on.

“It means nothing in the grand scheme of things, but it was nice to see that it’s not all doom and gloom and we still have some quality to work with. Hopefully we will surprise a few.”

Kick-off at the Simplyhealth City Ground tomorrow is at 7.45pm.
