AFC TOTTON have confirmed Steve Hollick as their new manager.

The Stags’ former goalkeeping coach took over the role on a temporary basis last month following Steve Riley’s departure after nearly three years in charge.

Hollick will be supported by head coach Lee Burch, who resigned from Sydenhams One outfit Hythe & Dibden last weekend.

Two of Burch’s coaching staff, Dave Rowland and Jamie Cotton, are also switching across from the Watersiders as club coach and goalkeeping coach respectively.

Totton chairman Andy Straker said the appointments presented the Southern One South & West outfit with “a real opportunity to go forward.”

He stated: “We believe we have put in place a management team that players will want to play for.

“This team will make sure we are fully prepared every time we go out onto a football pitch.

“I cannot wait for next season to start. These are exciting times for AFC Totton.”

Burch, a full-time coach with the FA, whose former clubs include Bashley, Andover and Blackfield & Langley, is currently working towards the UEFA A Licence and holds the FA Youth Module 3 Award and goalkeeper UEFA B Licence.

Hollick, who holds the UEFA B Licence and is goalkeeping coach for England Beach Soccer and the FA Futsal Centre of Excellence (South East), said: “It is an honour to be first team manager of AFC Totton. I am excited by the challenge and I know I have a fantastic team behind me in Lee, Dave and Jamie.

“I am looking forward to pre-season where we can put in place our philosophy of how we want to play football so that the team is fully prepared for the first game. It’s going to be hard work, but enjoyable work.”

Hollick added: “I will start my search for players to strengthen the squad in the coming days. I want to give supporters a team to be proud of.

"AFC Totton supporters deserve a team that will fight in every game and give their all for the shirt and that is what we intend to strive for."
