TIMES have been tough in the bike business, but one specialist has risen above it all and won a business award.

EP Motorcycles of Romsey have been awarded the Test Valley New Business of the Year Award at the awards ceremony held at the UK Land Army Forces HQ near Andover.

EP Motorcycles are a quality used bike dealer, who also provide a bespoke roadside repair and recovery service to motorcyclists in Hampshire, Dorset and south Wiltshire.

Working for all of the major motoring organisations, they achieve a major percentage of roadside repairs from their fully equipped and smartly presented Mercedes Sprinter recovery vehicles, pictured.

All employees are motorcyclists themselves and are able to empathise with the biker’s requirements whether they are looking to purchase their next bike, or if they are broken down at the side of the road.

EP Motorcycles are certainly regarded highly from feedback given to the clubs, manufacturers and insurers to whom EP Motorcycles provide their breakdown service and customers who have purchased bikes.

Eric Pike, the owner explains: “The award’s major criteria were that the business should demonstrate continued growth since start up, have met and overcome challenges and demonstrated originality.

“As a brand new company to the recovery industry offering a bespoke niche service to our region’s bikers and also opening up as the only bike dealer in the area, we were able to meet those criteria and impress the award’s selection committee with the services which we offer.

“I am very proud that a company such as ours has won this award, as it is all down to the diligent work of our members of staff.

“It’s not often a bike dealer wins a prestigious award like this, so we intend to make the most of it!”
