VOLUNTEERS braved freezing temperatures to get a Hampshire children's charity open again.
It was all hands on deck yesterday (FRI) as staff and volunteers from the Rainbow Centre in Fareham wrapped up warm and put their backs into clearing the ice and snow.
Despite the forecast still looking bleak the centre wanted to get fully operational for families who depend on the services they provide for their youngsters with cerebral palsy.
But with more snow predicted the centre is appealing for more people to turn up with shovels on Monday to ensure they stay open.
Chief executive Gill Hall said: "We are so grateful to our supporters for responding to our plea for help. Together we've managed to clear a section of the car park and entrance to the building."
