HAMPSHIRE voters will be voting to choose who they want to represent them in the 736-seat European Parliament on Thursday.
A total of ten MEPS will be elected across the south-east region – including Hampshire.
It is the largest of the 12 European regions in the UK.
The last Euro vote in 2004 attracted a turnout of just 37 per cent in the south-east, an upward blip on a downward trend but UK polls show nearly a third definitely won’t bother to vote in this year’s election.
In this Thursday’s European elections a total of 15 parties have put candidates forward.
They are, in alphabetical order, the British National Party, The Christian Party, The Conservative Party, The English Democrats, The Jury Team, The Liberal Democrats, No2EU, Pro-Democracy: Libertas EU, The Socialist Labour party, The Green Party, Labour, The Peace Party, The Roman Party –Ave!, United Kingdom First and The United Kingdom Independence Party.
Polling takes place from 7am until 10pm.
