Two people have been arrested after police carried out two drug warrants in the New Forest.

Shortly before 7am on Thursday, officers raided two addresses in Ringwood as part of the force’s efforts to tackle drug-related activity.

Following the raid on Hampton Dive, a 19-year-old man from Ringwood was arrested on suspicion of attempting to possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.

He was also detained on suspicion of improper importation of goods – a controlled drug of class B – into the UK.

Cannabis as well as drug paraphernalia and mobile phones were all seized from this address.

Meanwhile, following the warrant on Wessex Estate, a 20-year-old man from Ringwood was arrested in Gillingham, Dorset.

He was detained on suspicion of improper importation of goods – a controlled drug of Class B – into the United Kingdom.

Mobile phones were also seized from the raided address and both men have since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

New Forest Detective Inspector Tim Sivarajah said: “This is yet another example of our continued efforts to relentlessly pursue criminals causing the most harm to our communities.
