Drivers are being warned to plan their journeys ahead as parts of the city centre will be closed today.
Temporary road closures will be in place as Southampton sees the return of the vibrant Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan procession.
The event is one of the biggest religious festivals in Sikhism.
The route will start in St Mary’s following The Avenue, to Lodge Road and Bevois Valley between 1pm and 4pm.
A spokesperson for Southampton City Council warned drivers to “please plan your journeys”.
The highly-anticipated event will see families and friends sharing the message of oneness and positivity while parading through the city.
An opening ceremony will be held at the Civic Centre from 9.30am before the parade begins from Gurdwara Nanaksar at 12pm.
