Redbridge Community School is hosting a Family Fun Day on May 12, to honour Deaf Awareness Week.

Organised by South Hampshire Deaf Children's Society (SHDCS), the event aims to unite the hearing and deaf communities.

From 11am to 2pm, attendees can enjoy performances by the Newlands Sign Choir and The Deaf Chef, an inflatable wonderland provided by Inflataplanet, and a variety of sporting games organised by Energise Sports.

Iconic characters Elsa and Mickey Mouse will also be present for meet and greets with guests.

Alongside the entertainment, stalls from the National Deaf Children's Society and Chloe and Sophie's Special Ear Fund will offer information, while a raffle and tombola will give attendees the chance to win prizes.

Entry to the event is free and all funds raised will go towards improving the lives of deaf children in the community.
