The Four Horseshoes in Nursling will launch its own ‘Walkie Talkie’ dog walking club next week.

The monthly get together will help local dog walkers explore some of the best walks around the surrounding countryside.

The inaugural walk, open to all types of dog, will start from the pub at 9.30am on Monday (October 23) with all participants served a breakfast bap and a cup of tea or coffee before they head off.

The Four Horseshoes is charging a nominal amount to cover costs with the rest going to local charity Alfie’s Wish.

Adam Khalil, the pub's new manager, said: “As a dog lover, I wanted to explore ways to see the local countryside and came up with the idea of meeting up with locals and having a chat as we go. The Walkie Talkie Club will give us the opportunity to explore some of the lovely walks we have on our doorstep.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know more people over the coming months.”
