A FINANCE manager from Hampshire is set to appear in the latest series of Married at First Sight UK.

Channel 4 has announced the new brides and grooms taking part in this year’s 36-episode series which starts on Monday, September 18.

The popular series sees contestants marry a stranger who they have been matched with by an expert, before embarking on a luxurious honeymoon and then moving in with each other and their fellow couples.

For the new series, eight grooms have been matched with eight brides who are set to have their new relationships put under the microscope at weekly dinner parties with the other contestants and at commitment ceremonies, where they will choose whether they want to stay or leave the experiment.

One of the brides is 34-year-old Laura Vaughan from Hampshire, a finance manager who loves the finer things in life and spends most of her weekends out in Chelsea.

Laura, who loves designer handbags and admits to owning a lot, has been married before but is hoping for a second chance at finding love.

Describing herself as a ‘boss bitch’, she knows what she does and doesn’t want in life after her former partner unexpectedly ended their marriage.

Not ready to give up on love and preparing to commit entirely to the experiment, Laura said: “Let’s get married – second time lucky?”

After a record-breaking run last series, Married at First Sight UK is returning with 36 episodes – the largest series to date and the show’s longest-ever run.

It will build to a dramatic series finale at a glossy, high-stakes vow renewal when each couple left in the experiment will decide they want to recommit to their partner or go their separate ways for good.

Throughout the process, the couples will be guided by returning experts Melanie Schilling, Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas, who have matched the couples.
