Crowds have flocked to the Common today to celebrate the sounds and styles that defined the 80s.

Let's Rock took over the park and welcomed legendary musicians who performed hit after hit to a crowd of all ages.

The event transformed the festival grounds into a kaleidoscope of neon colours, big hair, and leg warmers.

People from Winchester, the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, and further afield travelled via ferries, trains, and buses to join the energetic crowd in their best 80s-inspired outfits.

As the sun shone brightly, people lounged on picnic blankets, soaking up the sunshine and savouring delicious food truck treats, including overloaded fries, burgers, churros, and more.

The family-friendly festival was also enjoyed by children, with free activities such as an interactive circus, face painting, and inflatables.

In between sets, people also looked through vinyl record shops and vintage clothing boutiques, where some found treasures from the past.

Gemma and John were at the retro festival with their two daughters.

They laughed and said: "Our kids seem to be enjoying the music

"We didn't have any plans for today and thought that we could bring them here.

"It looks like it was a good idea."
