Searching for houses in Southampton, like much of the UK, can be quite a tricky task, especially with house prices almost continually on the rise.

You might wonder what some of the cheapest properties you can buy in the area are, excluding options such as shared ownership or retirement property.

If you're looking for a property on the lower end of the price scale in Southampton, then Zoopla may have an option for you.

A one-bedroom terraced house on Millbridge Gardens in Sholing is currently listed for £180,000 on Zoopla.

Take a look inside the property

On its Zoopla page, it says the house is a quad-terraced home and it is located in "a peaceful cul-de-sac".

Upon entering the property you'll come into a hallway which has an understairs storage cupboard on the left, a kitchen to the right and a lounge/dining area straight ahead.

The kitchen has wood effect vinyl flooring, partly tiled walls and fitted worktops.

Additionally, it comes with an integrated electric hob with an oven below and an extractor fan above, as well as a fridge/freezer.

The lounge/dining area contains a couple of sofas, a TV and a small table with a few chairs.

Heading upstairs you can find the bedroom which has fitted carpet, a built-in wardrobe with mirrored sliding doors and a wall-mounted electric storage heater.

Next to the bedroom is the bathroom, which has tiled walls, vinyl flooring, bath with a shower over it, a low flush toilet and a pedestal wash hand basin.

Externally the property has a small front garden enclosed by fencing and space for one vehicle to be parked outside.

The Zoopla page adds: "The property is offered in good order and an early viewing is highly recommended to fully appreciate the location and accommodation the property has to offer."
