RESIDENTS at a Hampshire care home brought in the new year in style.

Staff and residents at The Ferne’s care home in Fareham celebrated the new year in the best way possible with a new year’s eve party.

The celebration included live vocals of opera, new year cocktails and a quiz about the last year.

Those living in the home also enjoyed some bubbles and a festive feast prepared by a head chef.

Speaking of the party, Brenda, a resident at the Fernes said: “It was lots of fun to join in the party and count down to the start of 2023 – I love the excitement of New Year!

“2022 has been a really mixed bag, I’m hoping for slightly less drama in 2023 if I’m honest!”

General Manager, Cassie Munnoch said: “Our residents love a party and New Year’s Eve has to be the best reason to stay up late and see in the New Year.

“We’re all really excited to see what 2023 has to offer us all.”
