CCTV images have been released of two people police want to identify after a man was assaulted outside a pub in Lymington.
The victim, a man in his 40s, sustained serious facial injuries which required surgery following the incident outside The King’s Arms in St Thomas Street at around midnight on Sunday, November 6.
Police said the man fell to the ground during the assault which was carried out by people he didn’t know.
Officers have conducted initial enquiries to identify those responsible but have now issued an appeal for the public's help.
Police Staff Investigator, Ryan Mitchell, said: “This was an assault against a man who had no known connection to the suspects and who suffered significant injuries as a result.
“We are seeking to identify the two men in these CCTV images or anyone that may have seen what happened, both inside the pub prior to the assault and outside the pub when the incident took place.
“Do you recognise these people? Or perhaps you were in the area at the time and remember seeing the incident?”
