ECHO readers are in with a chance of winning tickets to the Big Platinum Festival taking place celebrating the Queen's 70 years on the throne.

Mayflower Park will be transformed on June 5 for the Platinum Jubilee.

The Daily Echo - media partner for the festival - has teamed up with organiser Unity 101 Radio to giveaway 70 tickets.

The tickets will be given away to 14 lucky readers - with each of the 14 given five tickets.

Entrants must answer one simple question: How many years has Queen Elizabeth II been on the throne?

Echo Editor Ben Fishwick said: "Thousands of people are expected to celebrate the Queen's reign - and there will be no better place to enjoy the occasion than at Mayflower Park.

"The organisers have worked hard to put together an occasion fit for royalty.

"As a media partner, I wanted to make sure our readers had the chance to attend for free.

"And of course, there will be full coverage in the Echo from the big day itself."

Bollywood dancers, a Queen tribute band and much more will perform.

Ram 'Kelly' Kalyan, from Unity 101, said: "The Big Platinum Festival is going to the focal point of Southampton's celebrations - on top of all the street parties taking place over the bank holiday - and we're so excited to welcome Echo readers.

"Please do join in the competition and I can't wait to see you there."

Kicking off the festivities will be All Parties and Events who will be bringing the party tunes people know and love, followed by St. Andrews Pipe Band and The Chinese Association of Southampton, who will bring their Chinese Dragons to "bless the Queen's Platinum Jubilee".

The opening ceremony will start at midday and a 7 Decades of Dance performance from Belinda's Dance Academy will take place at 12.30pm.
