DETECTIVES are renewing their appeal for help from the public to find a wanted man with links to Hampshire.

An appeal was issued by officers searching for Peter James Evans, aged 29, who police say has links to the New Forest.

He is wanted to breaching the terms of his licence.

Evans was released from prison in September 2017 after serving part of a five-year prison sentence for burglary and subsequently failed to comply with the conditions of his licence.

A recall notice was issued on Tuesday 24 July 2018.

Evans, from Bournemouth, is now also wanted in connection with a burglary in Poole on Wednesday 22 August 2018.

He is described as white, around five feet 11 inches tall and with short brown hair.

Detective Constable Andrew Burley, of Dorset Police’s Priority Crime Team, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries to locate Peter Evans and we are renewing our appeal as we strongly believe members of the public can help us find him.

“We received a number of responses to our earlier appeal and would again ask for anyone with information as to his whereabouts to contact us.

“While we have no information to suggest that he presents a risk to members of the public, I would urge anyone who sees Evans not to approach him but to immediately contact Dorset Police on 999.”

If you see Peter Evans you should dial 999 immediately.

Anyone else with other information should call 101, quoting occurrence number 55180117246 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
