A HAMPSHIRE village was gripped by carnival fever.
The sun shone down on the annual Netley Marsh Carnival as hundreds gathered to see the parade which celebrated the world of cinema.
Floats from local groups themed on cinema classics including Ghostbusters, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Wizard of Oz, set off from The Gamekeeper pub in Woodlands and made their way along Woodlands Road to St Matthew's Church.
The event, now in its 29th year, organised by 6th New Forest North (Netley Marsh) Scouts aimed to raise £2,500 for the upkeep of St Matthews Church as well as the local scout and guide groups.
Scout leader Ian Sims said: "It's a great day that brings the whole community together.
"We are already planning next years event."
Following the parade, the church field played host to the summer fair which featured agility displays from Fair Oak Dog Display Team and music from the Big Noise Community Samba Band, as well as 20 stalls selling cakes, produce, and bric-a-brac as well as traditional games, including bowling, and a coconut shy.
