FIREFIGHTERS from two counties tackled a blaze at a thatched cottage in the New Forest.
Crews from Hampshire and Dorset were called to Lyndhurst Road, Holmsley South, after flames engulfed a property that was being demolished.
Sparks from a bonfire in the garden are thought to have caused the blaze.
Firefighters from four stations in the Forest - Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, New Milton and Ringwood - were joined by colleagues from Romsey and at least two stations in Dorset including Christchurch.
The crews, some of which were recalled, arrived to find the cottage was ablaze from end to end.
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said there were no reports of any injuries.
