AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a fire ripped through two sheds and damaged several properties.

Two fire engines rushed to Treagore Road in Calmore, to reports a fire had started in a shed.

Fire crews from Totton and Eastleigh fire stations raced to the scene at 5pm last night.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said that the fire had taken hold of two sheds and had spread to an adjacent garage.

The blaze also caused heat damage to three houses in the road and firefighters battled the blaze for two hours before it was brought under control.

The fire service have now said they have launched an investigation into what caused the fire.
