GOAL 82: March 6, 2012 Saints 1 Ipswich 1 Lambert fired Saints in front with 16 minutes left, converting Steve De Ridder’s low cross from ten yards – he is pictured celebrating that goal – only for Ipswich to salvage a late draw.
GOALS 83-85: March 17, 2012 Millwall 2 Saints 3 A fourth hat-trick of the season for Lambert in a truly memorable match. He finished off Morgan Schneiderlin’s early pass for 1-0, then struck twice in the dying stages to overturn a 2-1 lead for the hosts. Both late strikes were emphatically converted from the penalty spot.
