GOALS 62-64: September 10, 2011 Saints 3 Nottingham Forest 2 Lambert bagged a second hat-trick of his Saints career in a thrilling St Mary’s encounter. After stabbing home an early equalise he headed Saints 2-1 in front. After Forest levelled before half-time, Lambert settled the contest after the break, heading in a late Danny Fox free-kick.
GOAL 65: September 18, 2011 Saints 4 Birmingham 1 This was about as close as Lambert has ever come to missing a penalty. After being bundled over in the box, he struck an early penalty that hit the post and went in, as he set Saints on the way to a big win.
