1 In Dibden Purlieu...

On Sunday between 12 and 4pm at Applemore College, Honeypot Children's Charity is holding a Family Fun Day. This fun day out for the whole family will raise money for the Charity, who support young carers and vulnerable children aged 5 – 12 years old, by providing respite breaks and ongoing outreach support. There will be bouncy castles, garden games, face painters, popcorn, ice cream, food, a licensed bar, live music and loads more. Suggested entry donation is £1. Everyone is welcome and there are lots of prizes to be won.

3 In Swanmore...

Swan Fest is a brand new festival for all the family, set in the beautiful rural village of Swanmore, with a line-up that includes The Collision, Marmalade Moonshine, Tom Bertram and Jerry Williams. It showcases up and coming musical talent with plenty of entertainment for the whole family! Acts performing will include pupils from Swanmore College, past and present, as well as talented local performers. 4 In Bursledon...

On Sunday Bursledon Brickworks is turning the old factory into the countryside for the day - well almost! Go and see the museum itself all steamed up and working and then add animals, crafts, displays and much more. Hampshire Narrow Gauge Railway Trust will be running their trains, the cafe will be open for light refreshments and the museum's old engines all steamed up and working. Parking is free and there are activities for children, play areas inside and out. Adults costs £7, concessions £6, children £4 and a family ticket is £18.

5 In Romsey...

The National Collection of pre-1900 old-fashioned roses flower just once a year, creating a glorious spectacle in the walled gardens. You'll be met with unsurpassed fragrance and colour from thousands of roses, which reach their peak in June. Created by Graham Stuart Thomas - one of the most important figures in 20th-century British horticulture - in the 1970s, our walled gardens were chosen to house many varieties that may otherwise have become extinct. You'll find over 500 varieties of this special flower here, complemented by big herbaceous borders which provide changing displays from June-September. Booking not needed in this free event but normal admission charges apply. The rose collection is located in the Walled Garden, at the top of the main drive.

6 In Hayling Island...

The Kitesurfing Armada is a unique kitesurfing festival held on Hayling Island, bringing the kitesurfing community together for one fantastic weekend of kiting, music, fundraising and record breaking. This year they will have live music across two stages, a massive brands marquee, a family zone, hot tubs, yoga, pro BMX displays, quality food, craft stalls, charity fundraising, DJ’s, parties, bars and of course loads of kitesurfing! Everybody is welcome, entrance to the festival arena is free but you must register online in advance to get your free tickets. 7 In Southampton...

The John Hansard Gallery is holding a family drop in session on Saturday between 11am and 4pm. The Active Space will be open for families to drop-in and explore colour and there will be a range of creative activities for all to get involved with, which respond to the use of colour and paint in German artist Gerhard Richter’s work in their current exhibition: ARTIST ROOMS Gerhard Richter. 8 In Weston...

There's another chance to get involved and help the Friends of Weston Shore clean up the beach on Sunday between 10am and 1pm. The starting point will be near the Pitch and Putt on Weston Shore. This year, they're planning on some extra fun at the beach clean up as the hearty crew will be dressing up as pirates and they're hoping lots of families will be join in. There will be small gifts for children under the age of 16 (subject to availability), especially if they're dressed as pirates as well! As well as the litter pick, there will also be information about the wildlife to be found on Weston Shore.

9 In Eastleigh...

Eastleigh Football Club is hosting a Family Fun Day on Sunday between 10am and 3pm at their Stoneham Lane ground. There will be lots to see and do for all the family in this fun and free event, including rides, stalls, inflatables, football activities, meet the players, live music and lots of food and drink. It will also be the perfect opportunity to pick up your season ticket or membership.

10 In Andover...

Join the Hawk Conservancy Trust on Saturday for an enchanting evening with a live military band performing as the birds dance across the skies above Reg’s Wildflower Meadow. This special evening event will take you on a journey to witness the serene Barn Owls glide through the warm summer air, accompanied by beautiful classical notes. Marvel at the drama of the Bald Eagles coming home, amplified by the live band and enjoy the added humour of Dr No in his very own Bond ‘movie’. This is just a taste of what is in store in this wonderful evening that will conclude with a dramatic finale from the British Army’s Parachute Regiment Display Team, The Red Devils.
