Felix Mendelsohn was just 17 years old in 1826 when he was inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream and composed the overture but it wasn’t until 1843 that he completed the rest of the score, which has become so popular – in particular the famous Wedding March.

Founded by Artistic Director, Christopher Moore in 2008, Ballet Theatre UK has rapidly become one the UK’s most beloved touring ballet companies, touring both nationally and internationally the company aim to raise awareness of the classical art form with the community by being accessible to people of all ages and walks of life.

Through the vision of Moore, this innovative production gives the old tale a new life - be transported to the magical woodland of old, where you will rediscover the magical charm of this classic tale.
