SOUTHAMPTON’S rising stars Wild Front end their autumn residency at The Joiners tonight before touring the UK and Ireland.
Frontman Jack Williams, lead guitarist Joe Connell, bassist Mike Flowers and drummer Josh Betteridge have been appearing regularly at the famous St Mary Street venue since August.
Their three shows have been part of a packed year that’s seen them play the Isle of Wight Festival Big Top stage with The Sherlocks and The Amazons, release debut EP Physics and be one of the bands chosen for Glastonbury by BBC Introducing.
Last night they played Hoxton Bar in London and next week head to Ireland before UK dates including Sheffield, Leeds and Glasgow before finishing at The Railway Inn in Winchester.
It’s only two years since the lads first played together as Wild Front at The Joiners, but in that time they’ve released eight singles and been championed by BBC Introducing Solent on Saturday nights with Steph Newenhouse. Their single Rico aired on Radio One on Boxing Day.
Tonight’s show at The Joiners is sold out. Wild Front play The Railway Inn, Winchester on Thursday December 14. Tickets at www.railwayinn.pub.
