ALLAN Patrick Born 6th August 1926 in Plymouth, former Mayor of Southampton 1979-1980; former Southampton City councillor; Hampshire County Councillor and Ex-employee of Mullards in Southampton. Lifelong Saints fan and ardent follower of Millbrook RFC. Former Fire Warden in Freemantle and Shirley (1939-1945); ex Royal Hampshire's (1946-1949); ex pub pianist at The Anchor and Hope and one of life's great characters. Sadly passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Carlton House Rest Home, New Milton on Tuesday 10th April 2018 aged 91. Father to his daughter Jane and sons, the late Paul, Tony, Les, Rob and Mike, also step father to Kevin. Grandfather to 13 grandchildren, great-grandfather to 9 great grandchildren. Father-in- law to Sheila, Lin, Nicky and Juno, as well as Mandy, Paul, Karen, Sue and Mary. Reunited with his wife Brenda. Wherever you are now Dad, we are sure you are organising some form of change - keep fighting the good fight Patrick, life just won't be the same without you. We will be celebrating Dad's life at the East Chapel of Southampton Crematorium on Wednesday, 9th May at 12.30pm, followed by a few drinks at The White Swan Mansbridge. All are welcome. Many thanks to all of the staff at The Carlton Rest Home, New Milton as well as the staff at Braceborough Hall in Lincolnshire who helped Patrick through his development of dementia. Your patience will never be forgotten. We will be celebrating his life, so do not feel obliged to wear black! Donations to Wessex Heartbeat, which was a cause close to Pat's heart and flowers c/o Beestons Funeral Directors, 13-15 Warren Avenue, Shirley, SO16 6AS.
